#3 THE COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT AND ALL OF MY NEW FRIENDS

Words cannot describe the gratitude I feel for all of my friends & new friends who took the time out of their busy days to:

• check in online;

• send me messages;

• share my journey/blog with your friends/family/co-workers;

• meet me trailside and/or roadside;

• try to find me along the way {of course this is when the map decides to freeze :( }

• run with me;

• join me at the aid station(s);

• buy a t-shirt;

• bake yummy goodies;

• drop off food/ice and random requests;

• lend me gear and equipment;

• take photos and videos;

• offer up their house (beds, and much needed showers and laundry);

• and so so much more!

You have all inspired me! I loved reading/watching/listening to your messages. I did so every single day. It propelled me forward. It make me laugh, cry, reflect and most of all - appreciate.

I will pay it forward and be a trail angel whenever/wherever I can! Thanks again everyone. You will forever in my heart. xo

I felt like a rock star here. This big group of hikers stayed to welcome me at this aid station. Thanks so much guys!

Amber came out with her family to say hello. I was so surprised to see her. Amber and I work together.

This leg means so much to me. Fellow Bruce Trail End-to-End finisher and female FKT holder Virginia joined me along with her Captain - Cathy. This is what the trail community is all about. Poor Ed with 3 ladies ;P

Pretty much straight from World Championships in Ireland, Charlotte also came out to show her support and run with me. Charlotte has completed the Bruce not once, but twice. Previous FKT supported holder and current self-supported FKT holder. Her passion for the Bruce is amazing. Thanks Charlotte! I am so inspired by you!

I didn't know Steve prior to the Bruce but was fast to learn how giving and caring this man is. Thank you for all of your help Steve!!

Super fun run with these two. They got to experience some grassy sections with me. Oh the joy!

My friend, fellow hometowner and co-worker Paul surprised me in Hockley Valley with a roadside visit. How amazing is that! So great to see him.

These smiles say it all. Robin brought me yummy bacon in a to-go box! That is what life long friends do :)

David was always so friendly and chatty. It was great to spend many legs with him. I also met his daughter along the trail as well. So fun to see families spend time on the trail together. Thanks guys.

The incredible Sonya! I met Sonya in Collingwood. She is a great woman, now friend and fantastic RMT! She donated her time to help with keeping me limber. She even surprised me on the last couple of days with Caitlin. Just amazing. If you are in the area, check her out in Collingwood at Living in Balance.

Another great leg in the Hamilton area and man oh man did we get rained on. Huge thunderstorm came in ... we felt nice cause it was so humid leading up to it.
