Ok my son JUST fell asleep and I am ALMOST packed so let's bang out a post before I have to jet.
This is what my grocery cart looked like today. Are you judging me? I have turned into 'that person' at the grocery store that I always frown upon!

First off, THANK YOU to all of you who shared our post last night. We had so many awesome people volunteer to come out and help pace and crew. Still room for more of you at the finish line tomorrow. THANK YOU THANK YOU for volunteering your time :)
Before I get into today's pacers, I have had a few people asking just when Chantal needs to finish by in order to get the FKT. Since the current record is 13 days 6 hrs 28min, and Chantal started on July 1, she essentially has to finish before Friday at noon to beat the record. Sound confusing? Chantal started at 6am on July 1, so technically today is only part-way through day 12, and day 12 will end tomorrow (the 13th) at 6am. So as of July 13 at 6am, we will be 12 days exactly into her journey. Support crew Blaire explains it like this- think of how you count your birthday. You don't turn 1 until you have already been around for a full year. Same with this!
Our current plan is to have a big day today, sleep for a few hrs, then get up early and start hammering home- or 'the bell lap' as us runners like to call it. The bell lap is the last lap you run around a track- they ring a bell to let you know it's the last lap as you often lose track of which lap you are on when running around a track. So tomorrow is our final day/ bell lap! I'm not going to tell you what time we are hoping to start, only because Chantal likes to read these posts and sometimes it's best leaving the planning to your team Chantal ;). That way she can just get up and focus on running and not worry about anything else.
Ok! Back to today!
Started at 5:30am. Somebody hit the snooze button... ahem. Chantal. I don't have too much time to write - my apologies- so here's some pics and names of pacers:
Leg 1: Jennifer and Laura

Leg 2: Lori

Leg 3 (currently happening): Matthew and 'other' Chantal :)

Chantal is now almost at aid station 3 in Hamilton near Gage park where she will be meeting up with Mel and Cayra. Later today will be Tanya, David, and yours truly (hopefully).
Check instagram for more pics, and a video on her Facebook page about why she chose the name 'Aspire Bruce Celerity'. I am also trying to tweet today... in my spare time... haha..

Above- Chantal's mom, brother Pat, and her daughters showed up to cheer her on today! GO MOMMY!
Finally, Steve had a GREAT idea- if you would love to join us tomorrow but can't because you're working, why not do a 'virtual' run to encourage Chantal on! Do whatever distance you like, and on social media/ strava etc name it #aspirebrucecelerity so we can see it, or share it on her page. Great idea Steve and hope to see you guys logging some kms too tomorrow!
Ok off to pack the car. Thanks for following!
