Well what a beautiful day it was out there!
Today was lots of fun. Thank you so much for all your kind words. Chantal loves reading your comments first thing in the am before she starts each day, as well as during each aid station. The day started with a dance party with Cait (moi)
Caitlin was busy texting away during her leg of the run with Chantal, which annoyed Chantal to no end and resulted in a few walking-pole jabs to the bum... but it was all for a good reason! I was ensuring the surprise guest knew where to go. Chantal was blown away at aid station #1 to find her brother Paul had driven all the way from Montreal just to show his support!

After a quick family reunion Chantal was again on route. This time pacers Brenda and Christina took over. Brenda took over role of 'lead nag' to ensure Chantal was drinking enough water as the temperature increased.

Alan also jumped in for a quick 5km stint with Chantal before meeting up at the next aid station where another friend drove in to surprise Chantal and show his support. Chantal was so happy to see Shane and his son.

At the aid station Chantal got first-class treatment, with a few hikers and farmers stopping to ask just exactly what was going on. The hikers even said "you are the famous Chantal!". Word travels quickly around here! Chantal had a foot massage, sock change and took in some food (and coke of course) before heading out with Wild Bruce Chase teammate Kristin and local run club ultra guru Nick.

With a few hours to kill until the next aid station, Chantal's crew took the tourist route and took in the sights:

I have been mentioning Alan and Craig a few times now but haven't really told you who they are. Today I decided to vlog (video blog for you non-Youtubers ;) ) to give you some more info about who these dashing gentlemen are.
Meet Alan and Craig, the support crew with Chantal every day of her journey!
Chantal finished the day off strong and got in before the rain that they are calling for. Now it's time for shower, food, and another massage! Lucky girl. Tomorrow is going to be another epic day with lots more friends coming out to show support, including Virginia who has the current Bruce Trail women's FKT!
