Today's topic that I had pre-planned for the blog was 'challenges to overcome'. I had envisioned having time to give you all these fun facts about the Bruce Trail, how many people have completed it from end-to-end, how many run vs hike it, etc to show you the magnitude of just what Chantal is doing. Well, it was 9:11pm when I started writing this and I have to be up at 4:30 to pace Chantal. ... Sorry. Life happened. But you don't want to know about those little details do you? You want to know how Chantal is doing, how she feels, what she is going through.
So how hard is this endeavor? Really f******g hard. I apologize for being crass, but the honest truth is this is going to be the hardest thing she has ever done. Harder than recovering from a broken back. Harder than childbirth. IT'S REALLY F*****G HARD.

Chantal had a tough day today. Every day has it's challenges, but today Chantal's team was a bit stretched thin. There was tonnes of mud on the trails, and Chantal didn't get any sleep last night. The trails were still technical with some rocky sections, which really hurts Chantals' feet. The run is almost halfway done and absolutely everything at this point wears you down. You start to doubt yourself, you are tired and don't want to go on. Now is the time for us to lift Chantal up with our encouragement. Believe in Chantal, believe in her training. YOU GOT THIS GIRL!

I was listening to CBC this morning en route home from Montreal and the comedian/ TV host Trevor Noah was on (encore show. Check it out here). He was given this advice from his mom, and it was bang on:
"Try to be more than you think you can be, try to do more than you think you can do.
Try to exist in a space that is always slightly uncomfortable, because that is truly where you will find your growth."
Wow. Let that sink in. Chantal is going through an amazing journey. How privileged are we to be there through it.
Send Chantal a message in the forum of this website, or on social media (facebook, twitter or instagram) to show your support.

Believe.
